Whilst fashion talk is currently largely centred around sustainability, at our Maison we have long taken a sustainable approach designing pieces that are not defined by seasonal trends but instead which focus on longevity, luxury fabrics and quality craftmanship. As a designer with Lithuanian heritage, I am proud to take an ethical approach by supporting artisans, whom have learnt techniques exclusively passed down by generations of family members: all our creations are bespoke and made in Lithuania, often hand embroidered, meaning we are positioned in an exciting demi-couture category.
The new S/S 22 collection takes the past year which required functional clothing staples as influence but there is also a strong sense of escapism, flashes of 70's nostalgia, and feminine details which punctuate it.
Reinventing classic wardrobe staples for a contemporary woman, the Paris double breasted blazer, the Louise fitted summer dress and the Daria mini skirt all come in a new Italian sustainable stretch fabric for a fitted but flattering silhouette. Hints of 'Out of Africa' can be seen in the beautifully crafted modern military jackets; strong, impeccably cut tailoring, these jackets still have a feminine shape. Other elegant, silk separates and wide leg trousers will work to mix and match in with past collection pieces.
A clean colour palette of white, camel and denim and design details including scalloping, puff sleeves and hand bespoke buttons reflect the signature Donata Davidoff design aesthetic.
