Twelve Days of Christmas

1. Designer Chocs

Stock up on collection gift boxes by Piere Marcolini; Donata's pick is the dark chocolate 'Christmas Tree', with layers of pralines and truffles all delicately blended. The chocolate connoisseur is also Victoria Beckham's favourite, made with sustainably produced cocoa beans from five specialised plantations around the world.

2. Let It Snow

Swedish born Pia Hallstrom's Scandinavian aesthetic is very similar to Donata's, elegant but impactful. This snowflake charm is the perfect gift from Father Christmas, as are her delicate diamond bracelets that can be stacked and worn with ease.

3. The Personal Touch

Anya Hindmarch is the master of bespoke gifts, The Ultimate Box below is available in four sizes with your choice of leather, colour and labels- include your personal messages and photographs. The natty loose pockets also make a wonderful stocking filler…

4. Scent of Christmas

Mint, ginger, tea & tobacco are all blended in this cult candle as a refreshing alternative to pine fragrances. Donata's top treat to closest friends and family (and herself)

5. Reach for the Stars

Iconic make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury's hit Advent Calendar conceals a selection of her best selling travel and full sized products; like lipsticks, wonderglow and body shimmer. Such a wonderful way to  give them all a whirl for the good of the festive spirit.

6. Cool Cuffs

Noone does quirky fabulous quite like Patrick Mavros. The brand's chic sense of fun (each piece is designed by a member of the Mavros family) translate brilliantly into his huge range of sterling silver cufflinks- Donata is crazy about these turtles (designed following a trip to Sri Lanka)

7. Fancy Feet

The Mount Street Shoe Company's bespoke slipper collection is highly original and excellent quality. You can design a pair with absolutely anything on - jazzy colours or a personal motif. We love these Martini glasses- and the men's are as good as the women’s…

8. Eco Chic

Daylesford Organic is your one stop festive shop- and the huge range of handmade decorations are as good as the food. Choose from a donkey, camel, Big Ben, corgi - there are natty stockings and crackers too, and divine linen napkins in red and green.

9. High Tea

For a clever take on afternoon tea (and a break from turkey) Kai in Mayfair (Michelin starred restaurant close to Mount Street Gardens) offers gift vouchers for their sensational Chinese inspired spread- there's macaroons, pink champagne, prawns on toast and Bao sliders.

10. Couture Kids

Spanish children's clothes (and shoes) are always the most tasteful. Based in Madrid La Oca Loca makes the most sensational haute couture for little ones- along with personalised stockings, toys and all sorts. There isn't a website so you'll need to go on instagram, or call the shop

11. White Christmas

Lighten up your holiday season with Creed's old school blend, White Flowers. Donata is crazy about their packaging- the bottle is fitting for the smartest dressing table top) Jasmine, geranium and rose is a timeless combination.

12. Show Home

Taschen books are hard to beat- glossy and glam, yet useful. This tome, 100 Interiors Around The World, spans six continents - showing every possible type of home. The common denominator? They're all in exceptional taste.
